The embattled widow of late Hollywood legend Mickey Rooney has insisted to The NATIONAL ENQUIRER: “I didn’t kill Mickey! I loved him!”
In an exclusive interview, Jan Chamberlin -- reeling from claims that she subjected the beloved 5-foot-2 star, who died April 6 at age 93, to elder abuse -- claimed her life has been a nightmare since her beloved husband passed.
“I cry every day without my Mickey,” she said, as she visited the Oscar-winning actor’s grave at Hollywood’s Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.
“We had a wonderful life together. He treated me like a queen.”
Jan, a former nightclub singer, became Mickey’s eighth wife in 1978. At the time of his death, he was living with a stepson and his wife and Jan reportedly hadn’t seen her husband in a year.
