According to showbiz insider, The Hollywood Reporter, Carey who was ballyhooed as hot addition to the flagging American Idol last season responded with legal threats from her lawyers when she learned she was marked for banishment.
The secret plot reputedly had Mariah to be immediately replaced by former judge J. Lo.
According to THR, while Carey’s litigious threat put the kibosh on that potential setback, Idol’s producers are said to still be looking for a replacement for her and possibly Nicki Minaj as well as that combustible chemistry experiment was Minajh;s volatility.
