BARBARA WALTERS, 83 has fallen and can’t get up --bloody gash on the forehead sends her to the ER!

Babs was hospitalized Sunday after suffering a cut on her forehead when she fell during an inauguration party at the Washington home of England’s U.S. ambassador Peter Westmacott.

The 83-year-old TV titan underwent a full examination after the fall, ABCNews Senior VP Jeffrey Schneider said.

Schneider claims an alert Walters was “telling everyone what to do” at the hospital Sunday, “which we all take as a very positive sign.”

Winner's wife Geraldine made the sad announcement that the iconoclastic Brit passed at his London home after an illness.

Among Winner's 30 movies included three "Death Wish" films starring the legendary Charles Bronson.

Born in London in 1935, Winner worked with top Hollywood stars including Marlon Brando (“The Nightcomers” an adaptation of “Turn of the Screw”), Burt Lancaster, Robert Mitchum (“The Big Sleep" remake )and Faye Dunaway ("The Wicked Lady").

Among Winner’s first flicks was the 1962 nudist feature "Some Like It Cool" and Brit kitchen sink dramas like “The Girl Getters” with young tough Oliver Reed.

“Britney has always wanted a little girl and she hoped that Jason would be the man to make her life complete,” said an insider. “But in the past few months, their relationship has been spiraling downward.”

The troubled love affair had lasted over three years, but finally, on Jan. 11, Britney, 31, broke down in tears and announced in a press release that she was splitting with Jason for good.

The pair started dating in 2009, and he popped the question on his 40th birthday in December 2011. But things went downhill after that.

The ENQUIRER reported in late October that Britney’s friends predicted she would call off the wedding because she felt Jason was faking the romance. But she was still in love with him, and over the holidays started telling pals they’d wed in the spring.
