Music legend David Bowie is dead from cancer at the age of 69 — putting an end to one of rock 'n roll's best kept secrets!
"David had already been working with a very close-knit crew over the years," an insider told The ENQUIRER.
"He was determined to produce one final album before he passed, and refused to make his final years about death!
"David relied on his longtime record producer Tony Visconti to keep his illness a secret while recording his new album 'Blackstar" — even while Tony put together a Bowie tribute band!"
Bowie's son, movie director Duncan Jones (born with the name of Zowie Bowie) confirmed David's passing with a statement:
"David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18-month battle with cancer."
