KATIE HOLMES show DEAD ACCOUNTS is dead – literally.
Katie’s first project since splitting from Tommy Scientolo earlier this year -- will shutter January 6 after a mere 27 previews and 44 performances, paltry by standards by which The Great White Way accrues revenues.
Dead, which opened November 29 at the Music Box Theatre to less-than-stellar reviews, will close seven weeks ahead of schedule, RadarOnline.com reported.
"I am extremely proud of this production and the cast," producer Jeffrey Finn said in a statement Thursday.
"Theresa Rebeck and Jack O'Brien have created an inspiring and hilarious new play and we are all sad to see Dead Accounts end on Broadway.
