A Florida man arrested for murder after he decapitated his mother on New Year’s Eve over a chore. VIDEO
The County Sheriff's Office of Oldsmar, Fla. charged 23-year-old Christian Jose Gomez of 1924 Sheffield Court in Oldsmar with first-degree murder.
Responding to a 911 call early New Year’s Eve, deputies discovered the decapitated body of 48-year-old Maria Suarez-Coassignee, the suspect’s mother.
Gomez hit his mother over the head with an axe, then cut her head off in the garage and dragged the body to the garbage outside the home, the investigator’s report said.
The Sheriff says Gomez had been planning his mother's murder for two days.
According to investigators, Gomez was angry over his mother "nagging" to put boxes away in the attic.
