Emmy winner Neil Patrick Harris’ husband has “turned his back” on his little known “other family.”
The “How I Met Your Mother” star, 41, and David Burtka are parents of 4-year-old twins, but David rarely sees another set of twins that he helped raise with a former partner, sources said.
Before meeting Neil in 2004, David, 39, had a long-term relationship with Hollywood film producer Lane Janger. In 2000, Lane had twins via a surrogate.
“David helped raise those kids,” a source said. “While he still loves them like a dad, it’s like Lane’s kids have taken something of a back seat to his other twins.”
Added an insider: “Lane’s twins also view David as a father figure, but David hasn’t seen them as much since he married Neil.”
