In the eight months before his death, Elvis Presley was prescribed over 8,805 pills, tablets, vials and
injectables!

As The National ENQUIRER previously reported, the real cause of Elvis’ death was not from a heart attack but from polypharmacy, the simultaneous use of multiple drugs.

Even more shocking, Elvis was prescribed a mind-boggling 19,012 pharmaceuticals between January 1975 and Aug. 16, 1977 – the day he died.

“The drugs included uppers, downers, and powerful painkillerssuch as Dilaudid, Quaalude, Percodan, Demerol, and cocaine hydrochloride in quantities more appropriate for those terminally ill with cancer,” Joel Williamson, author of “Elvis Presley: A Southern Life,” revealed.

Elvis’ personal physician Dr. George “Dr. Nick” Nichopoulos prescribed the drugs. The King reportedly paid Dr. Nick $800 a day for his services.
