Philadelphia police say the man accused of killing a beloved granny wanted her crack!
Accused killer James Mears, 25, told police that he killed Dollie Evans , 67, in her kitchen because she was really a crack cocaine dealer who reputedly kept large quantities of cash in her house.
That why, police say, Mears killed both Dollie and her houseguest Ruby Thomas, 57, according to evidence presented at a prelim hearing.
Mears is facing murder, robbery and weapons charges for the August slayings, the Philadelphia Daily News reported.
