Friends fear the worst for ailing Cher after the superstar canceled the remainder of her tour on doctor’s orders, The National ENQUIRER has learned.
Sources divulged that the 68-year-old’s two kids, Chaz Bono and Elijah Blue Allman, are worried sick as she battles a persistent viral infection affecting her kidneys. They fear she may go into renal failure.
“I am totally devastated,” Cher said when she announced the cancellation of her Dressed to Kill tour.
Now, Chaz, 45, and Elijah, 38, are urging their mom to retire for good, insiders said. Cher’s publicist, Liz Rosenberg, confirmed to The ENQUIRER that the singer had been advised to recuperate at home and had been wearing a heart monitor for several weeks.
Adding to friends’ and physicians’ concerns is that the Oscar winner has also suffered from the Epstein-Barr virus for more than 20 years!
