Marching to the beat of his own drummer, BILL MURRAY– in Edinburgh, Scotland, on a golfing holiday – stopped to dig the music of a street musician, aka “busker,” listened briefly with arms folded, then abruptly told the guy: “STOP!”
Said an eyewitness: “The puzzled performer stopped strumming as Bill peered at his instrument, then pronounced firmly: ‘Your guitar STINKS!’ Visibly offended, Busker Boy started slamming the strings extra-loud as Bill shrugged and strolled off. Stunned, the guy barked angrily to onlookers: ‘Who the hell is THAT idiot?’” Then … surprise, SURPRISE!
A short time later, Unknown American came strolling back – toting a brand-new acoustic guitar – and handed it to the gob-smacked guy!
