Andy Kaufman died of AIDS and was bisexual! That and other senses-shattering revelations are detailed in a new book, “Andy Kaufman: The Truth, Finally,” by Andy’s BFF, Bob Zmuda, and his last girlfriend, Lynne Margulies.
“Andy’s secrets are finally being revealed now that his parents have died,” a publishing insider whispered to The National ENQUIRER.
Andy – best known as lovable goofball “Latka” on the TV hit sitcom “Taxi,” which ran from 1978 to 1983 – died of lung cancer on May 16, 1984 at age 35.
Yet Lynne is convinced Andy died of AIDS. She claims, “He was basically misdiagnosed. At that time AIDS wasn’t even known in America and it was before Rock Hudson was diagnosed with HIV.” She adds that Andy insisted they live in a sleazy part of San Francisco and he may have contracted HIV from gay sex in the seedy Castro District or with male hookers at the Mustang Ranch.
