The former “How I Met Your Mother” star missed his partner David Burtka so much that he moved back into the couple’s $3.6 million New York City brownstone only a few weeks later – but with a surprise.
“Neil realized David was the love of his life and realized he had made a big mistake,” revealed a close source. “As a peace offering, he brought along a pair of plane tickets to Italy.”
The actor’s plan was for them to wed in Perugia, Italy, on Sept. 6.
