8/29/14) LATEST! Joan Rivers remains in a medically-induced coma at Manhattan’s Mount Sinai Hospital after going into cardiac and respiratory arrest yesterday during throat surgery.
Her daughter Melissa, who arrived from California late Thursday night, says Rivers is “resting comfortably”.
Doctors expect to take Rivers out of her coma this weekend to assess any damage.
PREVIOUSLY: Beloved comic Joan Rivers was rushed to Manhattan’s Mt. Sinai hospital on Thursay, after she stopped breathing during surgery on her throat.
The hospital released a statement earlier today confirming that Rivers is a patient, while her assistant, Graham Reed was overheard saying that the legendary comedian is “not conscious, but stable”.
