James Bond has retired – and he couldn’t be happier!
Sean Connery has turned his back on Hollywood, trading his tuxedos and Aston Martin for khakis and a golf cart.
The 84-year-old star’s lack of interest in taking part in a 50th anniversary celebration of the “James Bond” movies at the 2013 Oscars helped scuttle the idea, and he’s also announced he would no longer make public appearances. His last movie was 2003’s “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.”
These days, the healthy and robust Scotsman can be seen cycling around a beachfront community in the Bahamas, where he happily runs out the door twice a day to hit the links bordering his backyard, erasing last summer’s rumors that he was suffering from Alzheimer’s.
