"Blackboard Jungle" thesp and director of "Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice and “An Unmarried Woman” PAUL MAZURSKY has died at 84.
Mazursky's spokeswoman Nancy Willen says the filmmaker and former thesp died of pulmonary cardiac arrest Monday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
The Brooklyn born Mazursky was nominated for several Academy Awards -- including his screenplay for "Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice," "Harry and Tonto," "An Unmarried Woman" and "Enemies, A Love Story."
He also received a best picture Oscar nomination for "An Unmarried Woman" which starred the late Jill Clayburgh.
Other Mazursky directed flicks included "Down and Out In Beverly Hills " and "Moscow On The Hudson. "
