
National Basketball Association fouls out LA Clippers owner DONALD STERLING after inciting racist conflagration of controversy.
According to the NBA’s investigation The Clippers owner did indeed spew racist rhetoric.
The scandal exploded when transcripts of a nine-minute recording of Sterling speaking with his then-mistress V. Stiviano went public. On the tape, Sterling is heard urging her not to bring black friends to Clippers games and to stop posting pix of herself with African Amerikcans on Instagram.
"Why are you taking pictures with minorities? Why,” Sterling asks in the recording.
"People call you and tell you that I have black people on my Instagram, and it bothers you," Stiviano responds.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver announced today that Sterling has been banned for life, urging the NBA’s Board of Governors to force the sale of the team.
Sterling was also fined $2.5 million.
