Uncle Bubba’s Seafood & Oyster House – Paula Deen’s popular flagship Savannah, GA restaurant that was at the heart of her racism accusations – has closed its doors for good. And to add insult to injury, it informed its employees of the closing via Facebook!
Instead of a face-to-face staff meeting, the establishment simply left this brief post on its Facebook page earlier this morning: "Thank you for 10 great years. Uncle Bubba's is now closed."
But Facebook users didn’t take kindly to this online announcement – and took to their keyboards to vent their shock, surprise and anger.
One poster wrote: "My mother worked there for over 8 years and no one called her!!! My fiance also worked there no one called him, in fact a UB manager called him LAST NIGHT to get his availability for next week!"
