Designer L’Wren Scott– a leggy ex-model as well-known for her high-profile relationship with rocker Mick Jagger as for her contributions to the fashion world – was found dead in her luxury Manhattan apartment earlier today, according to a report in the NY Post.
Police sources said that Scott, 47, used a scarf to hang herself by a doorknob. Her body was said to be found shortly after 10 am E.T today by her assistant, who entered Scott’s apartment with a key after receiving a text from Scott earlier this morning.
Scott’s assistant called the police, who are said to have found no note or sign of foul play. Though the Medical Examiner – who arrived at 1.15 pm E.T. - has yet to officially determine the cause of death.
