SIMON COWELL is thrilled with his adorable Valentine’s Day baby, but a source says his fiancee’s friends are miffed that “The X Factor” honcho picked his ex-lover to be his new son’s godmother!
The 54-year-old former “American Idol” judge and girlfriend Lauren Silverman, 36, welcomed their first child together, Eric, on Feb. 14 at New York’s Lenox Hill Hospital.
But Lauren’s pals are stunned that Simon chose ’80s pop singer Sinitta – his former flame – as Eric’s godmother.
“Lauren’s friends are overjoyed that Lauren is a mom again and that she delivered a healthy baby,” said a source. “But they find it a little strange that Simon gave the honor of godmother to one of his exes.”
