FANS of the Captain & Tennille were shocked when word leaked out recently that the singing duo’s 39-year marriage was on the rocks – but few realized that their relationship had been affected by a heartbreaking tragedy.
Their longtime fan website disclosed on Jan. 16 that Toni Tennille had “met with a divorce attorney in Phoenix, Ariz.” According to the site, the pair “appeared to the public as...the ideal model for a ‘rock-solid’ married pair. But almost all people naturally evolve over time...”
