KATHY GRIFFIN is suffering a devastating family heartbreak – her beloved brother has died after battling Stage 4 esophageal cancer.
The flame-haired comic first broke the tragic news her brother was seriously ill with CNN’s Anderson Cooper.
During her appearance, Kathy, 53, gave a shout-out to her brother, Gary, a 63-year-old married attorney and father of two, saying he’d been fighting the deadly disease for more than two years.“Gary, I love you and I hope you’re doing great tonight,” she said. “He promised he would watch.”
According to the American Cancer Society, Stage 4 means that the cancer has spread to distant lymph nodes and other organs.
