The queen of soft core erotica "Emmanuelle" SYLVIA KRISTEL is dead at 60 after a long term battle with cancer.
The Dutch-born beauty died in her sleep last night after a ten-year battle with the disease, her agent said.
As The ENQUIRER reported previously Kristel had suffered a massive heart failure in July as her family feared the worst.
Sylvia - a heavy smoker since she was 11 years old - battled lung cancer ten years ago but made a partial recovery.
Sylvia became an international sex symbol star with the release “Emmanuelle” in `1974.
She starred in four other film sequels and no less than six television spinoffs.
With her steamy nude scenes Sylvia starred in over 40 X-rated flicks including “Lady Chatterley's Lover” and “Mata Hari.
