In an upcoming interview with Playboy for their blockbuster 60th anniversary ish he newly minted Caped Crusader divulges why he chose to play the iconic comics character.
Ben revealed he was well aware of the fannish Bat-lash against his casting but was unconcerned about donning cape and cowl. But didn’t care because what he saw on the old studio drawing board was - - well -- Bat-tastic.
“The stuff was incredible,” Affleck revealed.
“It was a unique take on Batman that was still consistent with the mythology. It made me excited.
“If I thought the result would be another Daredevil, I’d be out there picketing myself. Why would I make the movie if I didn’t think it was going to be good and that I could be good in it?”
