PAUL WALKER, star of the hit franchise Fast and Furious films, died in a car crash Saturday in Santa Clarita, Calif. He was 40.
Walker, best known for breakout role as Brian O’Conner in The Fast and the Furious in 2001, was a passenger in a car that lost control and crashed into a traffic post.
His publicist confirmed his passing to the Associated Press.
“The cause of the collision is under investigation,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.
Fireman "extinguished the fire and subsequently located two victims inside the vehicle.
"The victims were pronounced dead at the scene."
He had the accident after helping a charity raise money to help victims of the recent Phillipines typhoon.
