PARKINSON’s-plagued Michael J. Fox isn’t the only star on his new sitcom battling chronic health woes.
A source says five-time Emmy winner Candice Bergen of “Murphy Brown” fame – who’ll play the mother of Fox’s character in a recurring role – still suffers from the effects of a devastating stroke in 2006.
“A one-off guest appearance wouldn’t be bad,” an insider close to the 67-year-old actress told The ENQUIRER.
“But if her recurring role becomes a regular thing, it could be very taxing for Candice, physically and mentally.”
As The ENQUIRER previously reported, the beloved actress suffered a health crisis in September 2006 when she felt dizzy and weak, and was struck by an excruciating headache.
