The NY Daily News reported that the X-Factor kingpin, 53, was hornswoggled and goggle-eyed when he learned his pal’s wife Lauren Silverman, 36, was now packing some future Idol DNA in her womb.
“The pregnancy has taken him by surprise. He assumed she was using birth control,” a source close to Cowell told the NY tab.
“Simon thought this was a causal relationship — friends with benefits. The pregnancy was not planned.”
“He is feeling tricked,” added the pal.
“No question that Simon will want to be part of the baby’s life, but I’m not so sure he wants to be part of Lauren’s.”
