In a desperate attempt to make fans forget his numerous gay scandals, JOHN TRAVOLTA agreed to co-star in KIRSTIE ALLEY’s new sitcom, an insider says.
The 59-year-old married father of two – who rocketed to fame on the classic sitcom “Welcome Back, Kotter” – hopes that when he returns to his comedy roots, fans will be distracted from the lawsuits and sordid stories that have plagued him.
“John wants to win back the hearts of his longtime fans with comedy,” revealed a pal.
“He’s hoping that by playing a macho guy who beds Kirstie’s character he’ll be able to put some of his scandals behind him.”
