JOHN TRAVOLTA pays touching tribute to his longtime pal the late JAMES GANDOLFINI, vowing to take care of his family.
The two thesps who co-starred in “Get Shorty” and the remake of “The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3” were more than close coworkers, he told Good Morning America.
“My father sold tires to his father,” Travolta said. “I was his inspiration to get into the business. He woujld see pictures of me on the wall from movies and he decided to that he wanted to be an actor.”
Travolta vowed to take care of his family because Gandolfini had been there for him after the death of his son Jett.
“James went out of his way to come to Florida and he would not leave Florida until I was okay or that he felt I would be fine,” Travolta recalled.
