TERENCE STAMP, who first played Kryptonian baddie GENERAL ZOD in SUPERMAN:THE MOVIE (1978) won’t be going to see bloated “Man of Steel”.

 “I’m kind of ambivalent about it, that it’s being made at all really,” the acting icon told the NY Post.

“I think the movies that (director Richard) Donner shot . . . they were the benchmark for every one of those comic-book movies that were made afterwards.

"So, in a way, it’s sad, although it’s a great compliment they’re being made.”

The mighty thesp who worked with greats like Federico Felllini as “Toby Dammit” in “Spirits of the Dead” was also Oscar nomm’ed for “Billy Budd” in 1962 admitted that his iconic role as Zod in “Superman 1 & 2” was his return.
