But friends tell The ENQUIRER the rock legend has a secret motive for pouring out his heart to Cher – he wants to get back together with her!
Six-times-married Allman, 65, recently revealed that his year-long, live-in relationship with 24-year-old Shannon Williams is over – and pals say the first thing he did was phone the “If I Could Turn Back Time” singer.
He’s remained close to Cher – mother of his son Elijah Blue– even though she accused him of heavy drug use when their four-year marriage went down in flames in 1979.
